In very wet conditions on Wednesday, the spares races were cancelled, and the organisers have also changed other scheduling – including moving the repechages of the lightweight men’s double to Thursday. Ireland’s Fintan McCarthy and Hugh Moore are due to compete in the lightweight double. If they do not finish in the top two in the heat, they will race a repechage later in the day.
First into action for Ireland in the heats here in Bled on Thursday will be Steven McGowan and Katie O’Brien in the PR2 Mixed Double (8.32 Irish time), followed by the women’s pair at 8.45. The women’s double, men’s double, lightweight women’s single, lightweight men’s double, women’s four, men’s four, men’s single and lightweight women’s double follow on a busy day for the Irish.
All 10 Irish crews are set to compete.
