
Irish clubs continued their winning run at the Ghent International May Regatta on Sunday.
Shane Rafferty, who won gold on both days at the Coupe de la Jeunesse last year (pictured), won the Under-19 single sculls, while Jack Rafferty, also of St Michael’s, won the Men’s Under-17 single.
Skibbereen had a very successful day. They won the women’s Under-19 eight, the Men’s Under-19 pair – through Cathal McCarthy and Dominic Casey – the Women’s Under-17 quadruple and single (Aoife Hendy) and the Men’s Under-15 quad.
Coláiste Íognáid won the Women’s Under-19 pair and the Men’s Under-19 coxed four, where all the six crews were Irish.
Castleconnell rounded off a very successful weekend in Belgium with a win in the Men’s Under-17 eight.
